Name:	sally_shears
Location:	WI

Bio

Assistant Professor of English at a small two-year school in the UW system. This means I teach freshman comp and sophomore-level surveys to students who would rather be doing anything other than reading what I've assigned. A lot of it is tedious and frustrating (committees, anyone?) and grading papers is a drag, but I live for the "light-bulb" moment when one (or more) of my students suddenly "gets" what I've been hammering at for the last 40 minutes/15 weeks.

I joined LiveJournal so that I would remember to keep up-to-date with Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer (creators of The Venture Brothers on [adult swim]). Also, I'm getting bored with MySpace.
